HÜRNER Schweisstechnik develops, manufactures, and sells devices and systems for welding thermoplastics and, in this area, focuses consciously on pipeline systems as the main field of application. And has done so since 1976.
A SME independent of any groups, managed by its owners and partners, we can rely on the flexibility and creativity required for innovative and ground-breaking solutions in this technological area.
Our products are used around the world. Our more than 100 staff in our headquarters in Mücke, Germany, our manufacturing plant in Sovico, Italy, our representations in New Zealand and Dubai as well as our service and sales partners the world over make sure that we are present wherever our customers are.
Management
Independent — Sustainable — Ready for the Future
That's what drives the managing partners, Dipl.-Ing. Michael Lenz and Dipl.-Phys. Heinz Ladstätter, who have been with the company for more than 30 years, of which more than 20 as the owners of HÜRNER Schweisstechnik LLC.

Completion of the TechCenter
Completion of the TechCenter, also meaning double the manufacturing and warehousing capacity.
Take-over of OMISA S.r.l. in Italy
HÜRNER Schweisstechnik takes a majority in OMISA S.r.l. in Italy.
Infrared System Line
The 3rd, once again enhanced generation of the line of infrared welding systems is brought to serial manufacture.
Expansion
Comprehensive infrastructural upgrades on HÜRNER Schweisstechnik’s headquarters site are completed.
New Building
A second extension of the headquarters site at Mücke-Atzenhain is achieved: a new back office facility and the redesign of the development and forwarding departments, including new staff rooms (the HÜRNER Lounge) along with the offices proper.
Top 100
HÜRNER Schweisstechnik is awarded the Top 100 Innovator distinction, a label having spelled out innovation, drive for the unknown, and team spirit for over 20 years in Germany. HÜRNER Schweisstechnik has been selected, among other things, for its policies decidedly turned towards the extension and innovation of the product offering.
Industry 4.0
A mechanics production line is set up under the Industry 4.0 scheme.
10 Years
In time for the tenth anniversary of the re-inception as a fully independent company, a new manufacturing and storage facility is put into service. Space available as good as doubles, to improve the staff’s work conditions, and the plant gets less affected by fluctuations on the procurement markets and gains flexibility and efficiency in terms of in-house product development.
In-house Developments
HÜRNER Schweisstechnik adds another specialized segment to the portfolio, developing its first jointing systems for in-shop use, for nominal sizes of up to 400 mm. Another segment where the future has only just started.
Partnerships
The strategic success of infrared welding is repeated in fluid mechanics: development partnerships with leading players of an industry. Partnering up with one of the heavyweights of occupational safety equipment, HÜRNER Schweisstechnik takes responsibility for the end-to-end revamping, extension, and technical upgrade to reflect current ATEX directives and rules, of a series of air extraction units for storage cabinets for hazardous substances: from low-level mechanical ventilation through to monitored, controlled, and filtered positive air extraction.
WeldControl
An absolute first on the world’s markets, HÜRNER Schweisstechnik offers welding and traceability data recording for manual butt-welding applications. What has become standard procedure for electrofusion, now is integrated in the WeldControl Series machines.
Manufacturing Plant
HÜRNER Schweisstechnik purchases the facilities it is in today approx. 2000 sq. meters of manufacturing and back office floor print.
Industrial Approach
HÜRNER Schweisstechnik now boasts a research and development department in the full sense of the term, including several engineers and developers, and it develops its first infrared welding system, for up to O.D. 110 mm. The company thereby extends its portfolio to one more segment of the market: industrial manufacturing. More developments for this segment are to come.
Going International
After separating it successfully from the previously existing group and corporate structures, HÜRNER Schweisstechnik has become a legally and operatively completely independent company, led by Dipl.-Phys. Heinz Ladstätter and Dipl.-Ing. Michael Lenz, the management still serving today. HÜRNER Schweisstechnik makes its international presence felt more and more and soon makes a name for itself thanks to reliable serially produced products and a large number of customized solutions.
A New Company
After challenging 1990s, MSR is transformed into HÜRNER Schweisstechnik. The newly incepted company immediately sets its strategic sights on turning itself into a plastic jointing player with “full-range offering” for the entire industry, including associated products. Research and development and manufacturing are also set up for fluid mechanical systems and engineering plastics. Electrofusion welding is complemented with butt welding systems.
Year of Inception
At today’s HÜRNER Schweisstechnik headquarters, the then HÜRNER LLC operates a manufacturing plant, in which it establishes the Metering, Control, and Regulator Technology department, MSR for short, from its German name. At first, MSR makes electric master control panels, and it also is one of Germany’s plastic jointing pioneers and develops the ancestor of what is today the HST 300 Series, one of nowadays’ benchmark products in heater-coil electrofusion welding.
