For years, we have advocated actions for a diverse, lively, and healthy environment.
At this time, bees are endangered: pesticides, lack of nest sites, and low levels of nutrition due to monocultures have resulted in collapsing bee populations, as demonstrated in scientific studies. While this has not anything do to with humans at first sight, it does threaten us in the long run.
HÜRNER’s site of Mücke has about 70 staff, who do not only look at the development, manufacture, and sale of plastic jointing systems, but also at three bee colonies. The bees themselves work on wildflower plots specifically developed for them on the site around the plant and produce day-in, day-out tasty honey.
